The productivity, content and chemical composition of essential oil in the inflorescence of Chamomilla recutita - one cultivar from Bulgaria, two- -from Egypt and one from Germany as a control are discussed. The cultivars are characterized by great variability of the chemical compositions. It was established that the main compounds of essential oils of tetraploid samples (from Bulgaria and Germany) were chamazulene, bisabolol oxide A and bisabolol oxide B, while in diploid samples (from Egypt) it was mainly bisabolol oxide A.
